Everyone knows that. The magic, the history, the mythology, the music…

It is also a place that reveals herself slowly. She does not give up her secrets easily.

For the first time, Rob Ó Cobhthaigh will be guiding this Ireland Sacred Journey to some of Ireland’s hidden, magical places.

Why us?

Rob Ó Cobhthaigh knows Ireland better than most.

He sea kayaked around her entire coast, unsupported and solo.

Over 2 decades working as an outdoor guide, he kayaked many of her rivers, walked many of her mountain ranges, explored many of her most remote and hidden places. He has guided vision quests and rites of passage. From an early age he immersed in himself in Irish mythology and history. For the past decade he has deeply connected to the sacred sites, history and land of Ireland, living for some years at Ros na Rí at Brú na Boinne.

This journey has been planned for many years, since at least a visit to the sacred valley of Peru in 2019, at a time when Rob was guiding expeditions to the Andes and Himalayas, but the vision is only now ready to bring to fruition. Things align when they align.

For many years, Rob has been guiding people around Ireland but this is the first time he will offer a sacred site tour.

We will be joined by expert guides and facilitators in different locations around Ireland.

Why Ireland?

Ireland has long been known as a special place. In the Maritima Ora, a 4th century AD latin text, Ireland was known as ‘the sacred island, or ‘insula sacra’.

This journey is for anyone who would like to approach Ireland with respect and humility.

What is sacred? Anything can be sacred when approached with respect, humility and reverence. It is an internal process of reverence, grace and connection that is our shared human birthright.

In Irish mytholology, there are places where it was said that the ‘veil was thin’, liminal, mystical places where time changes from linear time to circular time.

We will be going to such places.
